oi, nutter! |
Worms games have always had a distinctive type of music that drives players to greater acts of
destruction whilst still remaining ambient - WF:US is no exception...
Our resident audio specialist Bjorn Lynne has once again been hard at work preparing all the
in-game music, voice banks, fanfares and effects.
We have provided some samples for you to check out, so you can get familiar with what will be
coming out of your speakers whilst you launch a hippo across the screen!

voice banks |
WF:US boasts some brand new voice banks plus a number of old favourites!
Voices take up a lot of time and effort, from original concept to final tweaking - each sound is
a mammoth task. We think Bjorn enjoys it though, as he does it so well!
Some samples from never heard before voice banks are available for you to download (right). These
are brand new, so be sure to give them a listen.

music and fanfares |
Bjorn has done a great job with the music; repetitiveness is very hard to come across during
gameplay.
As a round may well last between 20 and 30 minutes, it's important that the in-game music remains
fairly anonymous. Therefore the music is ambient, adding atmosphere without becoming
obtrusive.
The music reflects the epoch currently being played, so you become lost in that time period
getting a great sense of involvement. Extracts from the four different epochs and the intro track
are available for download (right).
By default your fanfare is the national anthem of your chosen country of origin. This however,
may be changed to a selection of fanfares such as disco, horror and tribal drums - download and
listen to a selection of them (right).
